Recipient of the prestigious "NATO Advanced Fellowship" at the Technical University of Dresden (2001-2002).
Awards include: Best Reviewer 2015 of the *Electric Power Systems Research* (EPSR) Journal (Elsevier), Outstanding Reviewer Award for *COMPEL* 2016, and the Certificate of Outstanding Contribution in Reviewing 2018 (Emerald Group Publishing), along with numerous Publons Peer Review Awards. He has supervised the successful completion of three doctorates in technical sciences.
He co-chairs the recurring International Conference on Environment and Electrical Engineering (since 2001) as well as the Asia Meeting on Environment and Electrical Engineering. Furthermore, he is a member of the scientific committees of numerous national and international conferences, and an associate member of the Committee of Electrical Engineering of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN).
Since 1997, he has been employed at Wrocław University of Science and Technology, progressing through the ranks of assistant, assistant professor (from 2001), associate professor (from 2016), and currently full professor (since 2019). He has also worked at the Institute for Physical and Chemical Research in Wakō, Japan, as a research fellow in the Laboratory for Advanced Brain Signal Processing (2004-2005), at Roma Tre University in Rome, Italy (as part of the EDEMOM European Doctorate in Electronic Materials, Optoelectronics and Microsystems programme, 2009-2010), and at Sapienza University of Rome as a visiting professor in 2017.
